At the March meeting of the Wychwood Lodge our Immediate Past Master, W.Bro. Tony Raven PPrGJW presented the APrGM W.Bro. Graham Peter Ellis PJGD with a cheque for £500 towards the 2022 festival. The APrGM thanked the members of the lodge for their generosity & promised that their donation would be put to good use in helping those in need across the province.

On Saturday 30th March, The Wychwood Lodge, held a “Charity Giving” event. Although we have been donating monies to worthey charities for over a century this was the first such presentation event in its 127-year history.
With the help of our members and supporters, we Fund new research into a cure so that future generations won’t suffer from sight loss caused by macular disease. Also, to continue to help people of all ages adapt to life with sight loss, by supporting them to regain confidence and independence so they can take back control of their lives.

Witney Talking News is a free weekly talking news service providing audio local news for people living in West Oxfordshire, who are visually impaired or, who otherwise have difficulty holding and reading newspapers. Each weekly recording contains a selection of local news on USB memory sticks and is sent to our listeners free of charge. We also provide listeners with a free playback unit.

Bridewell is a mental health recovery service for adults living in Oxfordshire. We provide social and therapeutic horticulture in a walled garden near Witney. Our goal is to help people back into jobs or voluntary roles within the community. Being at Bridwell gives people meaningful experiences and a sense of achievement which, combined with individual recovery plans and support from our trained practitioners, is why Bridewell works so well
